The Journey of Awakening: Where Spirit Leads & Business Follows
Here’s what I know to be true…
We’re not just here to work.
Not just here to build.
We’re here to remember.
There’s a rhythm to life — a cycle of growth, expansion, and transformation. Call it evolution. Call it awakening. Either way, it’s the same path, whether walked through business, purpose, or soul.
First, we awaken — to ourselves, to the world, to that quiet nudge toward something more.
Then, we explore — trying, testing, creating, learning. In business, it looks like expansion. In spirit, it looks like peeling back layers and returning to what’s true.
Eventually, we lead — not through force, but through alignment.
Business becomes service.
Power becomes presence.
Work becomes purpose.
And suddenly, there’s no separation between the spiritual and the everyday.
Business becomes soul in motion.
Some awaken early.
Some lead young.
Some bloom later in life.
But the moment to step into alignment? That’s always now.
The world is shifting. Consciousness is rising.
Will you rise with it?

One Size Doesn’t Fit All: Why Education Needs a Radical Shift
In 2022, we left the UK, questioning everything—the economy, the environment our kids were growing up in, and most of all, the education system. We were a ‘typical’ middle-class family: two kids in private school, working hard to cover the fees and our living costs. On paper, we were ticking all the boxes. But deep down, something felt off.
So, we took the leap. No neat plan, just trust that we’d figure it out.
Landing in Bali, my son was about to start his GCSEs. He’s also an athlete—climbing since he was six, competing internationally. But within a month of traditional school, he wanted out. So we pivoted to homeschooling.
My daughter? We placed her in the @greenschoolbali, known for its project-based learning and entrepreneurial mindset. Now, at 13, she’s making a short film on bullying, mentored by a director, learning through hands-on experience.
Looking back, I left school at 15, disillusioned by a system that didn’t fit me. By 18, I’d started my first business. By 21, my second. By 24, my third. By 40, my fourth.
With AI disrupting industries, jobs evolving faster than ever, and traditional schooling lagging behind—do we need a radical shift in education?
Every child is different:
⚡ My son thrives on discipline, academia, and the mindset of an athlete.
🎭 My daughter is a performer, drawn to the stage, acting, and singing.
What if, instead of a one-size-fits-all model, we built education around an entrepreneurial mindset? Teaching kids adaptability, problem-solving, collaboration, and how to embrace differences as strengths?
What if we taught them to build teams, valuing diverse skills from the classroom up?

💚 Beyond the Glamour: How Fashion Led Me to Purpose
Who else has built a whole career in one industry, became known for it, then pivoted into something entirely new—only to realize no one even remembers that first career?
I spent 25+ years in fashion. It was my world—Milan, Paris, New York, front row, backstage, catwalks, editorials. By 18, I had bought my first store in Leeds. By 24, I had built and sold a fashion sneaker brand. For 17 years, I ran an agency shaping some of the biggest brands in the industry.
I lived and breathed fashion. But then, something changed.
Working with @hamnett.katharine , the original activist in fashion, was my wake-up call. Seeing her use fashion as a platform for real change—Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss wearing her iconic political slogan tees—made me question everything.
💔 2011: The turning point → Collaborating with @theofficialselfridges on the No More Fish in the Sea campaign, I realized I could no longer build businesses purely for commercial gain. I walked away. From the industry. From the version of myself that had been shaped by it.
Since then, I’ve helped thousands of businesses worldwide build impact-driven brands—proving that purpose and profit can coexist.
And today, reading that London Fashion Week is following the lead of Copenhagen, shifting toward ethical production, sustainability, and accountability—I can’t help but feel a full-circle moment.
💚 Fashion is finally catching up with the conversations we were having 15 years ago.
So, I salute you, Fashion. The industry I grew up in, the industry I once shaped. You are evolving.
And yes, for now—green is the new black. 🌿♻️

Your Voice is Your Power – Use It!
In a world that’s moving faster than ever, your voice is your strongest currency.
It sets you apart, connects you with others, and shapes the impact you leave behind. Yet, for many of us, stepping into that space can feel intimidating.
We’ve all had moments when shyness or the fear of judgment made us want to stay silent. But we’ve entered an era where silence isn’t an option. Whether you’re leading a business, building a movement, or simply sharing your story, the way you use your voice matters. And yes, hesitation is natural. But remember: vulnerability isn’t a weakness—it’s the birthplace of courage and connection.
I recently shared a post about embracing my inner mystic—the seer, the intuitive—and it felt like stepping out of the closet. For months, I wanted to reveal that part of myself, but business talk had been my safe zone. When I finally spoke my truth, it was liberating, resonating far more deeply than any carefully crafted façade.
When you take that step and let your true self shine, you’re not just breaking your own barriers—you’re lighting the way for others who might feel just as hesitant. It’s not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about being the truest version of yourself.
So, I invite you to reflect: How are you using your voice? Are you holding back out of fear, or are you stepping into your power—even when it feels scary?
The right people will listen. And when they do, movements are born.
Your voice has the power to transform not only your world but also the world around you. Don’t let fear silence the unique perspective that only you can offer.

✨ Embracing Change: The Real Journey ✨
How often do we stay stuck, afraid of what’s next? 😶🌫️
The response to my last post, A Life Worth Travelling, showed just how deeply this resonates. So many of us feel the fear of change… but what if that fear is the only thing holding us back?
💡 Two years ago, we took the leap—moving to Bali with no certainty, no safety net. It was exhilarating, unnerving, and completely life-changing. And now? Change doesn’t feel like an obstacle anymore—it’s become a way of life.
Because here’s the thing: Nothing is permanent. Nothing is set in stone. The only constant is movement. 🌊
And yet, we cling to stability as if it guarantees happiness. But real growth? It happens when you let go—of jobs, people, places, and the limiting beliefs that whisper you could never.
So, if you’re standing at the edge of something new, wondering if you should take the leap—consider this your sign. ✨
When you stop fearing change, you start fully living.
Wherever the journey takes us next, one thing is certain: embracing the unknown is what makes life worth travelling.

The Modern Seer. The Intuitive. The Visionary.
Since childhood, I’ve had the gift of sight—seeing beyond, speaking with ancestors, receiving messages from the unseen. ✨
Society once understood this. Then it learned to fear it.
“My daughter thinks she’s talking to my mother,” my mum used to say.
“I don’t think I am—I know I am,” I’d reply.
Some call it crazy. Others find it intriguing.
For me? It’s as natural as breathing.
This gift faded in my youth, only to return stronger—especially after my daughter was born. And I’ve come to realise: this isn’t just my gift. It’s yours too.
We all have this ability. But society has taught us to:
🚫 Ignore it.
🚫 Suppress it.
🚫 Call it something to be ‘fixed.’
We’re waking up. The world is shaking off its numbness, re-learning how to feel, how to trust the unseen.
There is nothing ‘woo-woo’ about:
✨ Speaking with ancestors.
✨ Receiving messages in dreams.
✨ Feeling something before it happens.
How many of you have woken up with a deep knowing? Felt goosebumps when your intuition kicks in?
The Modern Seer is a healer, a guide, a bridge between what is and what could be.
It’s time to:
🔮 Expand the conversation.
🔮 Lean into the uncomfortable.
🔮 Reclaim what we dismissed as ‘woo’—because what if it was never ‘woo’ at all?
What if it was wisdom?

🌏 A Life Worth Travelling ✈️☀️
Sometimes, you just jump—no parachute, no safety net—just pure trust.
That was us two years ago, deciding (within three months!) to move to Bali. 🌴
I look around now, and life? It’s nothing like I ever imagined.
Nothing really prepares you for living in another country, especially one that’s so different from what you know. But the world is changing—fast. The UK, the US… it feels like everything’s being reshaped, and this is just the beginning.
People often ask, “Will you stay in Bali?”
My answer? For today.
Because once you make a big move, you realise how easy it is to move again. And honestly? Nothing is certain. Nothing lasts forever. Change is the only constant—and the sooner you embrace it, the freer you feel. 💫
Living a life with intention teaches you that anything is possible—even when it’s scary or doesn’t make sense. If it feels right in your body, do it anyway.
One thing I know for sure: I couldn’t do this without my family. ❤️ We’re a team through it all.
So here’s to today’s adventure… and tomorrow’s—wherever it takes us. 🌍💛

🔥 The Year of the Snake: A Time for Transformation 🔥
We’re stepping into a year of massive change—a time to shed old skins and rewrite the future. 🐍✨
🚨 The systems that have shaped our lives—big farming, big pharma, big food, big insurance—are being questioned like never before.
Now is the time to:
🔎 Question Everything – Don’t accept things at face value. Challenge outdated norms, ask who benefits, and demand better.
🌱 Support Sustainability – Choose local, ethical, and regenerative food and health practices. Every decision we make shapes the future.
🔍 Advocate for Transparency – Labels, policies, and regulations should serve us, not corporations. Speak up!
🚀 Embrace Innovation – The future belongs to preventative health, holistic wellness, and community-driven solutions.
🤝 Build Stronger Communities – Together, we can create a new system that prioritises health, integrity, and sustainability.
The Year of the Snake is about transformation—let’s make it count. Who’s with me? 🙌🔥

⏳✨ From the 24-Hour Clock to the Energetic Clock
What if we stopped measuring time by the hours on a clock and started living by the rhythm of our energy instead?
For years, I followed the traditional 24-hour clock—rushing through deadlines, meetings, and schedules. But everything changed when I tuned into the energetic clock:
🌟 It’s not about how much time you have but how aligned you feel.
🌿 It’s about flowing with intention, honouring your natural cycles, and letting energy guide your day.
Some days, two hours of aligned action accomplish more than eight hours of pushing through. Other days, it’s about pausing, reflecting, and recharging when things feel off.
This shift has unlocked deeper creativity, connection, and purpose—not just for myself but in how I lead.
So next time you feel the weight of the clock, ask yourself:
Am I chasing time, or aligning with the energy that fuels my best self?
Let’s create a world that flows with purpose and authenticity, instead of forcing what doesn’t fit. 🌍✨

🌊 Purpose Footprints Took Me to the White Sands of Perth! 👣
What an absolute honour to open @WestTechFest with a keynote dedicated to sustainability and innovation! A sold-out, ocean-side event that truly inspired change. 💡🌍
It all started with a call from the amazing Kali Norman, inviting me to set the tone for this incredible gathering. Thanks to Curtin University, whose commitment to purpose and sustainability made this journey possible, I was able to share my insights on how businesses can unite people and planet for sustainable impact.
Perth greeted me with its stunning white sandy beaches and turquoise waters – picture-postcard perfection! It was the most breathtaking backdrop to discuss building a Purpose Economy. 🌟
From traditional landowners to visionary founders, investors, and ecosystem builders, the room was alive with energy. Delegates came from across the globe – India, the US, and beyond – to drive innovation and green transformation.
Minister Stephen Dawson opened the event with an inspiring address on Western Australia’s green innovation aspirations. I followed with my keynote, sharing a framework for weaving purpose into business culture, operations, and the wider economy. 💼🌱
One highlight? The “Profit vs People: The Power of Impact Investing” session, with thought leaders like Olivia Brooks, Nicolas Sauvage, Bill Tai, and Nicole Johnny MBA. Their insights sparked critical conversations and challenged the status quo.
From start to finish, it was a day of purpose, connection, and inspiration – all while overlooking some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes.
Here’s to leaving more purpose-driven footprints for a brighter future! 🌍👣

✨ It’s Time to Step into What Your Soul Came Here For ✨
With so much focus on personal branding and leading with the self to drive commercial success, it’s worth asking—where is that intention really coming from?
In a world full of challenges—elections, inflation, global unrest—what if we looked beyond the self-focused narrative?
What if we recognised we’re here for something bigger, something that transcends commercial goals?
So often, we get caught up in logic, success, and power, allowing the ego to steer. But what if it’s not about titles, achievements, or even your physical self? What if the journey is about connecting to your higher self and aligning with your true purpose?
Imagine remembering:
Who you are
Why you’re here
What you’re here to bring to the world
What you stand for
What you want to be known for
How you want to show up
Is that aligned with what you’re doing today? Maybe it is; maybe it isn’t. Because personal brand isn’t just a commercial tool—it’s what gets you out of bed in the morning.
If this resonates, and you’re ready to co-create a purpose-led world, comment “purpose” below, and let’s connect.

The Juggling Act: Work, Parenting & Home Life
It makes me laugh because it’s the constant dialogue that I know most working families have!
The spinning plates: me time, family time, partner time, and, of course, work time!
It got me thinking about the real energy that goes into holding it all together and, at the same time, being okay with dropping a few balls now and then!
From back-to-back meetings to that school event we forgot to put on the calendar (whoops!), to squeezing in time for each other—it’s a constant balancing act.
When you’re super passionate about your work, it can easily creep into family time, and when you’re hands-on with parenting, that work never quite stops at the end of the day.
What keeps me grounded through it all?
Remembering that it’s okay to ask for support! Honestly, without asking, I’d be lost! (Faye Silk my work wife, I salute you, and Gary, my husband of course!)
I think of life like a set of weighing scales; when the scale tips too far one way, bring it back to balance.
Remember, these moments never come again, so prioritise the school plays, the events, and the time together because they create the memories.
Health and sport are also essential—without my Pilates, padel, walks, and gym sessions, I wouldn’t feel grounded and healthy. Healthy body, healthy mind.
It’s important to step away from one area to focus on another, not getting bogged down in any single role, and not taking life too seriously—even when everything’s hitting the fan!
And, finally, make your work meaningful, because otherwise, why do it? Purpose-led work means living a life on purpose and enables you to leave a lasting legacy.
Remember, we’re all doing our best to show up fully—for work, for our kids, and for each other, even if it doesn’t always feel like it!
Make sure to also carve out that time for yourself!
Here’s to everyone out there balancing these worlds. It might not be easy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

My husband recently asked me to tell our daughter how I got my first job, as she’s been struggling to get seen and heard by her drama teacher at school.
At 13, I went into the jeans shop Best Trading every Saturday for a year and asked the owner Carl, for a job, ’til one Saturday he said, “Will someone give this girl a job!”
On that first Saturday, I sold leather jackets like hotcakes and became the top salesperson on the floor.
By 15, he had the foresight to take my dad out for dinner and persuade him to let me leave school. By 16, I was running his shop! Did I know how? Of course not, but I believed I could, and I did!
At 18, I opened my first retail shop with the man who owned the shop three doors down from Carl’s. He’d heard about me and ended up going into business with me.
People talk about becoming an entrepreneur and getting the qualifications at university. Yes 🙌 to learning, but also remember—that path isn’t for everyone!
The key things I shared with my daughter:
• 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

• 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀. 𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁.
• 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲.
Thank you, Carl—you saw me at a young age. Now, on my fourth business, the road is still lumpy and bumpy, but the belief, determination, and resilience remain strong.

✨ The Do’s and Don’ts of Purpose ✨
What an incredible experience joining a panel of inspiring, purpose-led minds! 💡 I had the pleasure of debating with Tony Greenham, Guy Singh Watson, Andy Brown, and Anna Shiel on whether purpose is the road to redemption or a cul-de-sac. 🌱
Led by Tony, MD of the British Business Bank, we delved deep into how to embed purpose into an organisation and distinguish between purpose-washing and the real deal.
Can you truly be a purpose-led business without explicitly aiming for social and environmental impact? 🤔
Is purpose a turn-off for investors or a magnet for those seeking impactful returns? 💸
How do we tell the difference between genuine purpose and ‘purpose-wash’? And when short-term profit collides with purpose—what then?
This session was full of energy, passion, and a rollercoaster of emotions! 🎢 I walked off the panel feeling invigorated and ready to keep pushing for meaningful change! 💪✨

🌟 Brain Holiday 🌟
For years, I’ve taught businesses the concept of a ‘brain holiday,’ and I know many of my students will smile remembering the principles behind it!
As a serial entrepreneur (on my fourth business!), I’ve learned the importance of enjoying the journey. Taking three months off a year – yes, three months! – is something I’ve done for years, especially aligning it with school holidays as a mum of two. During this time, I dive into a creative project that brings innovation, fun, and a fresh perspective into my business.
A brain holiday gives you space to step back, focus on something new, and spark those creative juices. It’s a chance to work on your business, not just in it.
Here are a few projects I’ve created during my brain holidays: 📖 Brand Famous: Written during maternity leave. 🌍 One Earth Global: Developed in Mallorca with my in-laws. 🎲 The Race To Impact The World: A board game, designed just before the pandemic. 🎤 Purpose Economy Talk: Delivered to 1,000+ people. ✍️ Master's Degree Methodology: Created during peaceful mornings in Bali.
This year, living in Bali, I’m continuing this tradition. I always make time for family, working on a project, and exploring new places with the kids.
So, have you ever considered taking a step back from your business to work on something creative? What would your brain holiday project be?
👇 Comment below with your ideas, and can you guess what my new project for this year is?

Living in Bali has been a profound experience for my family and me, immersing us in a culture where traditions run deep, and honouring the past is a way of life. Being part of such a connected community—where generations share, celebrate, and carry forward timeless wisdom—has been incredibly humbling.
Today, the entire island celebrates Galungan, a festival that marks the triumph of good over evil, a time to honor ancestors, and a moment to pause and reconnect with purpose. For the Balinese, this is more than a celebration; it's an expression of gratitude, a way to find balance, and a reminder of what truly matters.
In many ways, this reflects how I view business. Much like the spirit of Galungan, purpose and intention are at the heart of everything. It’s about leading with integrity, staying grounded, and celebrating victories with humility, all while being guided by values that truly matter.
The Balinese also believe in the power of vision—honouring the journey that’s been travelled and trusting in the wisdom of those who came before us. What if we all embraced this, staying present while creating the future we want to see?
For me, building a conscious business means aligning purpose with heart, honoring the past, and being open to what lies ahead. As we celebrate Galungan today, I reflect on how this spirit can inspire us to lead with intention and create lasting impact.
If you're ready to explore how we can build purpose-driven, conscious businesses together, comment below.
